Review: Jil Sander SS 2025

Right now, the fashion zeitgeist and the Jil Sander brand are perfectly aligned. Unfortunately, Lucie and Luke Meier didn't get the memo.

One of the most bizarre aspects of fashion’s ongoing discourse on minimalism (or “quiet luxury” as it has been colloquially dubbed) is that Jil Sander has not really been a part of it. Given the brand’s distinct history, its absence from the conversation is glaring. With Calvin Klein Collection currently out of commission, Jil Sander should have been running the show. Instead, the label, once the industry’s flagship for all things uber-luxurious and discriminately modern, has taken a backseat while The Row has filled the vacuum left in its wake.
